He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarke W. and Alice; and his sister Winn Crannell. He is survived by: his daughters, Annalisa K. Crannell, Francesca C. Garrison and Tasha L. Jessup; and his wife Sally Sue Seabold.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Damascus United Methodist Church (9700 New Church St, Damascus, MD 20872).
He served as the Principal Investigator on numerous National Science Foundation grants for more than three decades, conducting research on nuclear structure using intermediate- and high-energy electrons and photons as probes.
