Iva Ruth Barker Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 4, 2025, at the age of 88, Iva Ruth Barker of Darlington, Maryland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Emerson and Elsie Osborne Emerson; and her siblings, Junior, Bryan, Jerry, Barbara Jean, Joyce, Shirley, Sue, Carolyn Anne and Billy.
She is survived by: her husband Bobby Ray Barker; her children, Carolyn Ward (Fred) and Craig Barker (Christine); her grandsons, Gavin and Mason Barker; and her siblings, Madge Sawyer of Warrensville, NC, Kay Bundy of Lansing, NC and Sandy McNeil of Lansing, NC.. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Bel Air-McComas Family Funeral Home (50 W Broadway, Bel Air, MD 21014). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at the Bel Air Memorial Gardens (809 Rock Spring Rd, Bel Air, MD 21014).
