She was predeceased by: her parents, Irvin George Carhart and Anna Louise Carhart (Graves); her former husband Melvin Anthony Cater; and her brothers, Malcolm Carhart and Charles Carhart.
She is survived by: her family, Douglas Cater (Katherine), Mary Greiner, Susan Malay (Robert), Paul Cater (Monica) and Patricia Youngmann (Matthew); her sister Mary (Sis); and her brother-in-law Herman Branson. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church (101 Owensville Rd, West River, MD 20778).
