He was predeceased by: his parents, James O'Dell and Mary Carlton Vickers; his wife Karen Howett Vickers; his son Vincent Vickers; his grandsons, Bobby Vickers, Jr., Joseph DiMatteo, Sr. and Vincent D. Vickers; and his great grandchild Jolie DiMatteo.
He is survived by: his children, Bobby Vickers (Susan) and Jennifer Dimatteo; and his sister Doris Vickers Perkins of Wilksoboro, NC.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grand child.
