John Virginia Haws Jr. Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Virginia Haws Jr. of Deale, Maryland, who passed away on July 3, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John V. Sr. Haws and Olive Haws (Trussell); his sons, John "Buck" Haws, Ricky Sines and Wayne Haws; his stepdaughter Charlotte Ann Webb; and his siblings, Helen Stillions and George Haws.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Canter Haws; his children, Larry Haws (Ann) of Damascus, Barbara Murphy (Tom) of Edgewater, Gloria Sue Haws of Gaithersburg and Rebecca Canter of Shady Side; his stepdaughter Theresa Canter of Deale; and his grandson Caleb Canter. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Rausch Funeral Home-Owings (8325 Mt Harmony Ln, Owings, MD 20736). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations in John's name may be made to A Living Tribute.
