He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lane and Alverta Lane; and his siblings, Ruby Ayers, Mamie Shupe, Howard Lane, Margaret Slagle, Wilma Saferight, Edith Ruhl, Warren Lane and Shirley Van Fossen.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth J. Lane; his children, Michael Lane (Salisbury, MD), Terri (Bobby), Taylor of Delmar, DE, Wanda Twilley (Roby) of Delmar, DE, Karen (Sonya) and Lane of Alexandria, VA; and his siblings, Grace Wilkins (Salisbury, MD) and Larry Lane of Augusta, GA. He is also survived by his five grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and four more great-great-grandchildren.
