He is survived by: his children, Donald Wayne Simpler (Julia) of Arizona, Dorie Simpler and Sonya Simpler of Laurel, DE; his grandchildren, Cody Simpler, Dylan Shorter (Jozlynn), Ashton Messick, Dakota Messick, Trinity Brown, Uriyah Brown and Junior Chavez; his great grandchildren, Sadie Vilone and Dawson Shorter; and his half-sister Stella Simpler of North Carolina.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Frankford Chapel of Melson Funeral Services (32013 Long Neck Rd, Millsboro, DE 19966). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Wilgus Family Cemetery.
