He was predeceased by : his parent Lindsay Johnston Wegert (Jim) of Shenandoah, VA.; and his grandparents, Walt, Marion Johnston, Horace P. and Rita Wells.

He is survived by : his father Horace Bernard Wells, Sr. of Bowie, MD; his wife Carol L. Wells of Denton; his daughters, Crystal Wells of Denton, Tiffany Wells of Ridgely, MD and Cheyenne Wells of Denton; his grandchildren, Carson, Norah, Avery and Landon; his sister Trina Wells of Bowie; and his nephew Justin Wells.
