It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Andrew of Denton, Maryland, who passed away on November 14, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let her loved ones carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though Joyce may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles "Doc" Turner Baker and Willye Cora Taylor Baker; her husband Louis Chance Andrew; her son Charles Andrew; and her brother Charles "Bud" Baker.
She is survived by: her son Richard "Ricky" Andrew (Mary Sue); her grandsons, Jacob Andrew, Daniel Andrew and Matthew Andrew; and her caregiver Norma Lloyd. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces and nephews; and a close friend.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Home (12 S 2nd St, Denton, MD 21629). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
