It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Roger Lee Layton of Denton, Maryland, born in Baltimore, Maryland, who passed away on September 26, 2023, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Cosden and Reva Pauline Sard; his siblings, Debbie Cosden, Michael Cosden, James H. Layton and James L. Cosden; and his aunt Mary Jane Davis.

He is survived by : his wife Faye R. Layton of Denton; his daughter Jaclyn S. Crawford (Chris) of Preston; his granddaughter Madison S. Weston of Denton; his stepfather Ronald Sard; his siblings, Rena Callahan (Bobby) of Harmony and Duane Sard (Michael Anne) of Cordova; his uncle Emory Davis of Easton; his cousin Richard Davis (Kim) of Easton; and his son-in-law Mike Weston of Crapo, MD. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial donations in memory of Roger to either Compass Regional Hospice at 160 Coursevall Drive, Centreville, MD 21617, or to the Calvary Baptist Church at 1120 Market Street, Denton, MD 21629.
