Thomas R. Filewicz Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas R. Filewicz of Denton, Maryland, who passed away on August 4, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander A. Filewicz and Elsie M. Redgwick Filewicz; his wife Charlene C. Filewicz; and his siblings, Jimmy Filewicz and Eileen Zabolotny.
He is survived by: his children, Thomas A. Filewicz (Linda) of Hebron, MD, Eric C. Filewicz (Courtney) of Ridgely, MD, Diane L. Urasz of Preston, MD and Linda M. Echternach (Christopher) of Easton, MD; his siblings, Bruce Filewicz of Philadelphia, PA and Denise Macrina of Absecon, NJ; his grandchildren, Stephanie Urasz, Kyle Urasz, Nathan Filewicz, Nick Filewicz, Ashton Echternach, Payton Echternach, Paxton Echternach and Annabelle Filewicz; and his great grandchildren, Penelope Echternach, Lily Filewicz and Davis Filewicz.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Moore Funeral Home (12 S 2nd St, Denton, MD 21629). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Benedict's Roman Catholic Church (408 Central Ave, Ridgely, MD 21660).
