Harriet Benner Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on November 21, 2025, at the age of 90, Harriet Benner (Derwood, Maryland) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Gordon Benner; and her parents, Virginia Olson and Gladstone Walton Rogers. She is survived by: her sons, Stephen (Mary), Michael (Jeralynn) and Douglas (Marye); her grandchildren, Christy Scruggs (Troy), Melissa Jones (Mark), Nicholas Benner (Gretchen), Robert Benner, Kevin Benner (Joslyn), Brian Benner, Nicole Benner and Blake Benner; and her great grandchildren, Jordan, Jionni Jones, Madeleine, Jackson, Lydia Benner, Ryan and Luke Benner. She is also survived by Her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Redland Baptist (https://www.redlandbaptist.org) or to the Casey House-Montgomery Hospice (https://montgomeryhospice.org) in Rockville, MD.
