He was predeceased by: his parents, William Andrew and Nellie Serchak (Gusera); and his sisters, Marion Hesler (Vincent Sr.), Josephine Miller (William) and Frances Thomas (Peter).

He is survived by: his wife Edna Mae (Rice); his cousin Nowa Biala; his children, Bridget Ann, Mary Ellen Ynes (Robin) and William Joseph Rice Serchak (Laurie); his grandchildren, Aliya and Andrew Ynes; his uncles, Jose Reyes, Kirk Woodington, Vincent Jr., Carl Hesler and Eric Hesler; and his cousins, Rosemary Lynn Latta, Gloria Gusera and David Serchak. He is also survived by five nephews.
