With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Maria L. Eicker of Detour, Maryland, born in Baltimore, Maryland, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 28, 2024 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hans Steffen and Pauline Steffen; and her daughter Kathleen Crouse. She is survived by: her husband Carl Eicker (Ike); her son Gary Eicker of Emmitsburg; her son-in-law Michael Crouse of Detour; her granddaughter Kelsey Fowler (Samson); her great grandchild Adam of Gettysburg; her grandsons, Kyle Crouse of Columbia and Justin Crouse (Jesie) of Taneytown; her brother Herman Steffen; her sisters-in-law, Mary of Detour and Rosemarie of Baltimore; her niece Paula Putman (Michael); her great-nephew Andrew; her great-niece Hailey of Detour; and her niece Rhonda Steffen of Detour. She is also survived by many cousins and close friends.
