She was predeceased by: her parents, Alonzo Asbury and Rosa Asbury; her sons, Gene Wilkes, Jr. and Kevin Wilkes, Sr.; her sisters, Margie Wells and Dorothy Riley; her grandmothers, Phillips, Doris Asbury, Veda Rose and Beulah Combs; and her brothers, Hubert Asbury, Carlisle Asbury, Edward Asbury and Elmer "John" Asbury.
She is survived by: her spouse Gene W. Wilkes, Sr.; her daughter Lisa Wilkes Badstibner; and her siblings, Chester Asbury and Daisy A. Daniels. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
