With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Etta L. Shelby (District Heights, Maryland), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 23, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Ashton and Julia Edna Ashton; and her siblings, Julia Pratt, Gertrude Smith, Laura Smith, Charles Ashton and Theodore Ashton.

She is survived by: her daughter Anjanette Shelby; and her grandson Abbud Smith. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
