It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Louise Butler (District Heights, Maryland), who passed away on August 6, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sammy Griggs and Ida Mae Griggs; her husband George Butler, Jr.; her son Gary Butler; and her siblings, Alton, James Griggs, Shirley Griggs, Evelyn Key and Barbara Crooks.
She is survived by: her children, Jacqueline Griggs, Shelia Butler, Greg Butler and Cathy Butler Mathews; her grandchildren, Donte Butler, Marcus Butler, Sloane Butler, Shannon Mathews, Katelynn Mathews, Taylor Brigman and Gregory Bryce Butler; her great grandchildren, Reign Hilliard, Dylan Butler, Hendrix Butler and Legend Butler; and her siblings, Marjorie Powell (William) of Bowie, MD, Joyce Griggs of Savannah, GA, Samuel Griggs (Pat) of Richmond, VA and Larry Griggs (Gail) of New Bern, NC. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
