Athena Taratsides Obituary
We announce the death of Athena Taratsides (Dundalk, Maryland), who passed away on September 27, 2026, at the age of 92. Athena will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Athena will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Athena will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Athena’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her husband Panagiotis Taratsides; and her siblings, Eftihia of Thessaloniki and Dimitrios of Melbourne, Australia.. She is survived by: her children, George Taratsides, Despina Hiotis (Michael) and Philip; and her siblings, Anastasia of Melbourne and Marika of Thessaloniki. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, many other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bradley Ashton Kehl Funeral Home (2134 Willow Spring Rd, Dundalk, MD 21222). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church (520 Ponca St, Baltimore, MD 21224). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at the Oak Lawn Cemetery (7225 Eastern Ave, Baltimore, MD 21224).
In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions in Athena's memory to St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church.
