Though Barbara may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Everet G. Walters and Helen L. Walters; her husband John James Shoemaker, Sr.; her stepson John James Shoemaker, Jr. (Barbara); her daughters, Novella M. Davis-Simms and Katey E. Maxwell; and her stepdaughters, Linda A. Shoemaker, Jean E. Dickey and Eileen J. Shoemaker-Lester. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Duda-Ruck Funeral Home of Dundalk (7922 Wise Ave, Dundalk, MD 21222). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
