He was predeceased by: his wife Alma R. Kurgan. He is survived by: his children, Carl K. Kurgan (Stephanie), Sandy Paul (James) and James W. Kurgan Jr. (Missy); his grandchildren, Adelaide and Hunter; his sister Dorothy Ciofani; and his pet Nila.
