He is survived by: his spouse Jean C. Chriest; his children, John A. Chriest, Jr. (Laura), Timothy M. Chriest (late Mary), Mary Chriest Jones (Spike) and Gerard C. Chriest (Janet); his grandchildren, Miranda Harmony Jones and Lilith Julianna Cozine (William); his siblings, Fritz Froehlich and Madeline Schaefer; and his family Scout. He is also survived by family, other relatives, and many friends.
