He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Barbara Wright; his children, John Wright III, Rachel McDaniels (Joe), Heather Wright (Andrew Baranowski) and Sharon Marx (Mike); his grandchildren, Joseph, Ian, Justin, Mariana, Nathan, Marissa, Johnny and Ruby; and his siblings, Donald, Brenda, Linda, Geannie and Barbara.

A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at the Holly Hill Memorial Garden Cemetery (10201 Bird River Rd, Baltimore, MD 21220).
