He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurry Long and Philomena Long; his wife Charlotte Jean Long; his son Mark Long; and his siblings, George Long, Philomena McCardell, Elwood Long and Beverly Beesnan.
He is survived by: his daughter Linda Newcomer (Michael); and his grandchildren, Angela Abuan and Phedra Poole.
