She was predeceased by: her parents, Louise Hanlin (Toporzycki) and Louis Rodgers; her husband Robert Zapalowicz; and her siblings, Charles Rodgers and Patricia Thompson.
She is survived by: her stepparent Thomas Hanlin; and her sisters, Rosemary Augustyniak (Albert) and Louise Hetmanski (James). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital, or to a military charity of the donor's choice.
