He is survived by: his wife Cathy Martin-Benson; his sons, David Benson and Christopher Martin; his grandchildren, Hannah Fowler, Thomas Martin, Kyle Martin and Haydon Benson; his siblings, Barbara Hassler, John Allen Benson, Lisa Lynn Arnold, Wynn Cole and Kathy Annette "Peanut" Hosek; and his sister-in-law Bonnie Simons (John). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
