He was predeceased by: his wife Elaine McElwee; and his son Lawrence. He is survived by: his daughter Kathy (Jack Sgroi); his grandchildren, Jon Sgroi (Alicia) and Emily Sgroi; his great grandchildren, Luca and Sophia Sgroi; his nephew Ronald McElwee (Laura); and his great-niece Brittany. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk (7110 Sollers Point Rd, Dundalk, MD 21222). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Oak Lawn Cemetery (7225 Eastern Ave., Eastfield, MD 21224).
