He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Maureen Nielsen; his children, Susan Byer (Bruce) and Robert A. Nielsen III (Doris); and his grandchildren, Jessica Byer (Ken Robbins), Amanda Ruley (Tim), Megan Caudle (Jonathan) and Robert A. Nielsen IV. He was also cherished by seven great grandchildren.
