He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Margaret Heinlein; his sister Georgia; and his parents, George Braunschweiger and Beatrice Braunschweiger. He is survived by: his children, Kelly Byrley, Amanda Heinlein, Rebecca Heinlein, Lori Brown and Steven Heinlein, Jr.; and his siblings, Earl Jr., Chris Sr., Beatrice and Lois.
