In the vast expanse of eternity, Dennis Leonard shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. He was predeceased by: his parents, Grace Helwig Murphy and John Reginald Murphy; and his siblings, Margie Murphy and Reginald John Murphy. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann Murphy; his daughters, Amy Murphy Kane (Michael Kane) and Mary Marie Umphries (Eric Umphries); his friend Olga Cope; and his pet Francis.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calvert Grace Community Church (9870 Old Solomons Island Rd, Owings, MD 20736). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Dennis's memory by sharing a smile, offering a kind word, or doing something to brighten someone's day—just as he always did. Donations may also be made to Dennis's favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
