She was predeceased by: her parents, Calvert Eugene and Mamie Catherine Hawkins; her siblings, Ernest Evans, Joseph Hawkins (Gertrude), William Hawkins, Phillip Hawkins Sr. (Addie), Edith Ford, Hilda Mackall, Frances Pratt and Shirley Butler; and her children, Denise Chapman (Michael), Carol Watkins and Jay Watkins.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Shird (Samuel), Clyde Watkins, James Watkins (Caudel) and Kelvin Watkins; her sons-in-law, Samuel Shird (Sandra) and Michael Chapman (Denise); and her grandchildren, Shaneca Watkins, Detesha Chapman, DeTron Watkins, Quatrena Young (Reginald Sr.), DeVone Watkins (Tyesha), Matoya Chapman, Terrell Watkins, Marelle Watkins, Dayquan Watkins, Shaquana Watkins and Travian Townsend. She is also survived by great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends.
