He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Barna (Ribar) and Andrew Barna; and his siblings, Sonny, Geraldine, Mary Ann and Darlene.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Marie Barna; his sons, Jason Andrew Barna (Shannon) and John Anthony Barna; his grandson Jesse Barna; his brother Robert Barna (Marian); and his siblings-in-law, Kay Peterson (Bernie), Nancy Osbourn (Dwight) and Charles (Betty Ann). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church (1601 W Mount Harmony Rd, Owings, MD 20736). A burial was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at the Southern Memorial Gardens (10155 Ward Rd, Dunkirk, MD 20754).
