With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Paul Sherkus of Dunkirk, Maryland, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 12, 2025 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joan Kazakevicius Sherkus and Paul Joseph Sherkus; and his sister MaryAnn. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis; his sisters, Patricia (Dan) and Judith; and his siblings' children, Adam Bubniak (Adriana), Joel Bagley, Isaiah (Chise), Amy Bagley and Clare Bubniak Olson (Robbert).

In lieu of flowers we ask that a donation be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake in Waldorf, 2505 Davis Rd, Waldorf MD 20603.
