She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Farris and Fonnie Farris (Lawson); her husband Ronald Lee Lanier; and her brothers, JD and Ronnie Farris.
She is survived by: her daughter Sherry Ryan (Frank) of Dunkirk; her grandchildren, Kelly Ryan of Short Pump, VA and Sean Ryan (Joanna) of Luray, VA; her sisters, Betty Thomas of Greensboro, NC and Sharon Hoddock of Bluefield, VA; and her siblings-in-law, Ann Berry of The Villages, FL and Randy Lanier of Lancaster, PA. She is also survived by 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 14th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Rausch Funeral Home-Owings (8325 Mt Harmony Ln, Owings, MD 20736). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 14th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, March 26th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the MD Veterans Cemetery-Cheltenham (11301 Crain Hwy, Cheltenham, MD 20623).
