She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Chapman and Christine Chapman; her husband William Edward Bell, III; her siblings, Louis and Carol Chapman; and her grandmothers, Lena Thomas and Clementine Chapman.

She is survived by: her children, William Edward Bell, IV of Milton, GA, Delores Smith of New Carrollton, MD, Daphne Bell of Dunkirk, MD, Valerie Bell-Walker of Charlotte Hall, MD and Marlo Ann Bell of Lexington Park, MD; her siblings, Charles, Bernard, Leon, William, Anna Mae, Doris Chapman and Mary Ann Greene; and her grandchildren, Durrel Rouse, Chad Edward Bell, Gregory Walker, Jr., Noah Walker, Breanna Rouse, Kelli Barnhardt, Mackenzie Bell and Nicole Bell.
