He is survived by : his children, Connie, David Jr., Jan and James; his grandchildren, David Ewing III (Allen), Maddox Ewing, Rylee Ewing and Natalee Mullins; his siblings, Bernard Eugene Ewing, Madge Wooters and Suzanne Rada; and his close friends, Sue, Cavapom and Ruby.

“Very sorry to hear of David's passing. David was one of a kind. Have known him since we were teenagers. I used to buy all my tires from David and he was concerned about his customers. If I went more than 8000 miles without having my tires rotated, David would give me a lecture of the importance of it. David Told many people about Salvation in Jesus. I'm sure many will thank him for this when they get to heaven. God rest his soul”
