She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruth Anderson Vermilye of Easton and William H. Vermilye of Batavia; her husband D. Brooke Layton; her son R. Stewart Keating (Vicki); and her sister Marguerite Vermilye Beebe (Tod).
She is survived by: her daughter Parker Keating Spurry (Joe); her brother W. Moorhead Vermilye (Sally); her grandchildren, Brittney Keating Azoury (Saïd), Hunter Martin Keating, Stewart McLeod Spurry and Eliza Spurry Craig (Alex); her stepdaughters, Elizabeth Powell (Jay) and Jennifer Layton; and her stepgrandchildren, Marianne and Andrew Powell.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Michaels Community Center or Christmas in St. Michaels.
