We are sad to announce that, on February 14, 2026, at the age of 90, Joan Rice Kirby of Easton, Maryland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

While her presence may be gone, her impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Barrett Rice and Alma Russell Rice; her husband James T. Kirby; and her son-in-law Don. She is survived by: her daughter Sandy Sorrenti; her stepchildren, Beth Pridgen (Tom) and Jimmy Kirby (Barb); and her close friend Hazel Fauth.
