With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Alan Hawkinson (Easton, Maryland), born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 27, 2025 at the age of 92. As we bid John Alan farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For John Alan is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He is survived by: his children, Kristen of Easton, MD, Paul (Cassie) of Washington, NC and Katie (Joe) of Berkeley, CA; his grandchildren, Griffith Hawkinson of Charlotte, NC and Josephine Hawkinson of Washington, NC; and his sisters, Paula Rooks of Warren, RI and Karen Bicknell of New Hampton, NH. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
