He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Nichols and Ruth Ann Nichols; his grandparents, Oscar, May Nichols, Henry and Amanda Schultie; his wife Irene; his sister Joyce; and his brother-in-law David Ward Sr..
He is survived by: his daughter Nancy Pardoe (Rich) of Seaford, DE; his grandchildren, Matthew Westerfield (Elaine) of Leonardtown, MD and Nicole Ann Reel; and his nephews, Henry Ward Sr. (Teresa) of Bridgeville, DE, David Ward Jr. (Beverly) of Denton, MD and Jody Ward Sr. (Tracy) of Denton, MD. He is also survived by 5 great-nieces, 2 great-nephews, 4 great-great nieces, and 4 great-great nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home (12 S 2nd St, Denton, MD 21629). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
