He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clifford Warner and Helen Emory-Warner; his wife Betty; his son Larry D. Thomas; his grandchildren, LaToya Brooks, Aishia Handy and Larry D. Thomas Jr.; his stepsons, Raymond Potter (Ruth) and Charles Potter; his stepgrandchildren, Ty, Brandon, Shavona, Raymond Jr., Anthony, Ajena, Cyia, Annanda (Justin), Diamond and Kendall; his grandchild Kia; his goddaughters, Lenda Gibson Smith and Rhonda Jackson; his sister Adella Warner; his sisters-in-law, Cynthia James (Lawrence), Mary Johns and Stephanie Warrick (Earl Sr); his son Marvin Benson; his grandson Larry Emory; his friends, John, Roberts, Gregory Webb and Willis Scott; his daughter Ruthina "Mouse" Thomas; and his siblings, Helen, Frances, Martha, Mary, Delores, Bertie, Olivia, Dolly, Sarah, Barbara Jean, Leroy, Clifford Jr., Ralph and Robert. He was also cherished by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
