She was predeceased by: her father Alvin Truitt; her children, Crystal, Jason Marks, Michele, Ed Draper, Jessica Mitchell and Sarah Prince; her former husband Alan Messick; her husband Eugene "Gene" Townsend; her children, Mark Townsend and Janine McGrath; her siblings, Tom Jones, Ernest Jones, Joseph Jones, Roy Jones and Ruby; her brother-in-law Buddy Biddle; and her sister Eleanor Jones.

She is survived by: her stepmother Josie Jones; her daughters, Becky (Joe Reading), Marilyn (David Landry), Judy (John Scott), Debbie (Jim Campbell), Christine Smith and Marguerite Townsend; her grandchildren, Brandy, Morgan Pusey and Tristin Griffin; her extended family, Bonnie, Steve Gordy, Ruby Riley, Buddy, Margaret Biddle and Jackie Jones; and her pet Sasha. She is also survived by other loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
