It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Florence Jean Brookman (Edgewater, Maryland), who passed away on June 17, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elsie Oakley Arnold and Robert Arnold, Sr.; her husband James Brookman, Jr.; and her son Raymond James. She is survived by: her children, Sandra Jean Harris-Anderson (James), Larry James Brookman (Dianna) and Wayne Kevin Brookman; her grandchildren, Jeanne Nelson, Stephen and Matthew Brookman; her great grandchildren, Julia Nelson, Cameron, Jude and Andrew; her sisters, Winnie Colby (Alan) and Thelma Wayson; and her children, Karen and Kenneth Wayson.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory (2973 Solomons Island Rd, Edgewater, MD 21037). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
