It is with sadness that the passing of James Hardy of Edgewater, Maryland is shared. James, born on February 17, 1929 in Washington, District of Columbia, passed away on October 15, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Hardy and Esther Hardy; his sister Nelle Burns; his wife Ann Hardy; and his daughter Nancy Hardesty.
He is survived by: his brother John Hardy (Marsha); his children, Bill Hardy (Cheryl), Mary Jo Clark (Ron), Jean Decker and Kathy Kindig; his grandchildren, Brett Hardy (Christina), Tyler Hardy (Kayla), Dyton Clark, Heath Clark, Joe Decker, Christopher Hardesty (Rachel), Jeffrey Hardesty, Chase Kindig, Kate Kindig (Alex), Cole Kindig (Tori) and Kay Ann Kindig (Conner); and his great grandchildren, Stephen Bradley, Chelsea Hardy, Marlie Hardesty, Charlotte, Grant Hardy, Saylor and Walker Hardesty.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory (2973 Solomons Island Rd, Edgewater, MD 21037). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
