In the sacred silence of farewell, Joan is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Joan's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Ottey and Charles Ottey; her husband Alan Sharman; and her siblings, Shirley Ottey and Ronald Ottey.
She is survived by: her daughters, Ronda Sharman and Kimberly Evans (Brian); her grandson Nathan Evans; her sister Beverly Sharman; and her caregivers, Deanna and Mandy. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Amazingly, even as her Alzheimer's progressed, she could still beat anyone at cards or Sequence.
