Kimberly Ann Eckel Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 5, 2026, at the age of 61, Kimberly Ann Eckel of Edgewater, Maryland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She is survived by: her husband Daniel A. Eckel; her sons, Joshua (Elena) of Upper Marlboro, MD, Joseph (Shannon) of Pasadena, MD and Jeremy (Mary) of Preston, MD; her siblings, Eugene R. Best, Jr. of Mechanicsville, MD, Kathy of Edgewater, MD, Karen of Great Mills, MD, Patty of Lusby, MD and Sheryl of Mechanicsville, MD; and her granddaughter Karlee Eckel. She is also survived by loving aunt to her nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Kalas Funeral Home and Crematory (2973 Solomons Island Rd, Edgewater, MD 21037). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 at 1:45 PM at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery (1122 Sunrise Beach Rd, Crownsville, MD 21032).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
