He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward M. and Mary J. Cox; and his wife Linda M. Cox. He is survived by: his sons, Michael E. Cox, Jr. (Janine) of Edgewater, MD and David C. Cox (Mary) of Edgewater, MD; his sister Darlene Durrett (Kenneth) of Myrtle Beach, SC; his grandchildren, Michael Allen Cox, Megan Cox and Brooke Cox-Belt (Randy); and his great grandchild Robby Belt.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory (2973 Solomons Island Rd, Edgewater, MD 21037). A prayer will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Woodland Beach Fire Department (Edgewater, VFD).
