He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert H. Cox and Nellie V. Cox-Best. He is survived by: his wife Linda D. Cox; his children, Robert H. Cox (Kimberly) of Edgewater, MD, Christopher K. Cox (Shannon) of Davidsonville, MD and Kelly L. Ferguson (Donnie) of Bear, DE; his sister Loretta Knight of Germantown, MD; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn K. Morris (Zach), Connor R. Cox (Emma), Courtney K. Taub (Jordan), Ryleigh M. Johnson (Wyatt), Lauren F. Cox, Noah C. Cox (Gabrielle) and Anthony J. Ferrara; and his great grandchildren, Kayleigh, Hudson and Julian.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, May 1st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kalas Funeral Home and Crematory (2973 Solomons Island Rd, Edgewater, MD 21037). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 1st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
