He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldridge Hardesty and Mildred Hardesty; his siblings, Eldridge Hardesty, Lester Hardesty, William Hardesty and Ann Idol; and his nephew David Wester.

He is survived by: his wife Sandy Hardesty; his daughters, Paula Shrawder (Gary) and Missy Groves (Ernie); his grandchildren, Robert Shrawder (Sierra) and Amanda Gray (Willie); his great grandchildren, Lucie, Rylee, Cody and Wesley; and his sisters, Debbie Wester and Arty Dickerson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Paul's honor to the American Cancer Society.
