He is survived by: his wife Parvathi Akkaraju; his children, Nikhil Akkaraju, Vyshali Akkaraju Grote and Haritha Akkaraju Vasat; his sons-in-law, Keenan Grote and Peter Vasat; his grandchildren, Kieran, Elina, Devin and Aethan; and his brothers, Seshagiri Akkaraju and Jayachandra Akkaraju. He is also survived by many brothers- and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews from his wife.
