She was predeceased by: her parents, James Nichols and Margaret Bland Nichols. She is survived by: her husband Alva "Darrell" Bays; her children, William Bays of Beaumont, TX, Tina Bays of Elk Mills, MD, Vanessa Walker (Joe) of Middletown, DE and James Bays of Elk Mills, MD; and her brothers, Frank Nichols of Newark, DE and Dave Nichols (Rhonda). She is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hicks Home For Funerals (103 Stockton St, Elkton, MD 21921). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Maranatha Baptist Church at 3141 Old Elk Neck Road, Elkton, MD 21921.
